DESCRIPTION: We are looking for a senior-level Network Systems Engineer with substantial Active Server Directory and Cisco infrastructure site architecture experience. This is a highly visible, hands-on position that plays an integral role within our IS&T organization. The responsibilities of this role include helping to expand our underlying infrastructure to support the growth of the company and its technologies.
REQUIREMENTS:
-Install, configure and maintain our organizations networks, systems and client/server software at various locations within Metro NYC and other remote locations
-Maintain and administer Active Directory Service, Windows 2000/2003, Netscreen Firewalls, Cisco VPN with RSA Secure ID, Citrix Presentation Server, SQL 2000
-Proactively administer the network using performance monitoring tools and alerts
-Maintain efficient and trouble free operation of all local and remote data communication Maintain up-to-date documentation of network design, operation and procedure manuals
-Consistently meet Service Level Agreements with various departments
-Experience in the publishing industry
-Knowledge of Database Analysis and Design
-BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience necessary
QUALIFICATIONS:
-5-8 years hands on networking experience, 2-3 years of which in a more senior role
-MCSE certification required
-DNS, VPN, TCP/IP, Exchange 2003/2007
-Active Directory Services design, implementation and migration
-Cisco infrastructure technology (router switches, firewalls)
-CCNP certification required, CCIE would be a big plus
-Familiarity with common software licensing rules and regulations
-Extensive knowledge of Client \ Server and Web based technologies required
-Experience working in large Windows Multi-Domain environments
-Advanced installation and support experience with W2K/W2K3 Servers both onsite and remote
SALARY RANGE: 100-125k
