DESCRIPTION: A premier Sun Integrator is looking to expand into the Storage Area Network market. If you have a solid background working with Unix (Sun preferred, of course) including hands-on experience with storage disk arrays/hardware, e.g. StorageTek, EMC, Sun, and Compaq - we want to talk to you! Additional skills you should have include experience with Backup/Recovery applications such as Legato or Veritas, extensive experience with Storage/SAN Management tools (Tivoli, Veritas) and a general familiarity with Fibre Channel standards and/or SCSI architecture. Should have knowledge of Fibre Channel Fabric switches and directors, such as McData, Brocade and Gadzooks. Strong problem resolution skills are required.
Responsibilities: Looking for a talented, energetic professional who will lead and assist in developing our Storage Management Practice. Knowledge of server-less backup, disk/tape spooling and other SAN benefits. Must be comfortable with vendor/prospect/customer contact and communications and be partner oriented. Additional responsibilities will include; configuration, allocation, management, capacity planning and performance monitoring/tuning. Will also provide technical support for application and infrastructure projects. Required: SAN, Sun Solaris, Veritas or Legato.
SALARY RANGE: 100-135k
