DESCRIPTION: The primary duty is the network system administration of the entire corporate network nationwide. This position will encompass creating a new network architecture going forward. Duties will include tuning, maintenance, and forward thinking to help out the Internet arena. Will be working in a frame relay environment-using many different networking protocols. Other functions performed include system hardware and software installations, hardware and software tracking, backups, upgrades, troubleshooting, and Unix/NT security along with network architecture. Education - Min - Bachelor MIS, CIS, CS or equivalent - Preferred Master in MIS, CIS, CS or equivalent
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have min 8+ years of professional experience in network system administration and support with large multi-platform network environments. Must have experience working with Sun Solaris, HP-UX, Linux, SCO and NT operating systems, DNS, WINS, MERIT, SMTP, Network protocols, Oracle database servers, Check Point FireWall-1, ipfwd, ipchains, pix, and managing CISCO routers, switches and protocols (BGP, EIGRP, IGRP & RIP). Must have experience with Network Architecture. Pluses would be any programming skills, Cisco and/or Microsoft Certifications (CCNA, CCDA, CCIE, MCSE), and experience with disaster strategies. This position also requires excellent communication, troubleshooting and project management skills.
SALARY RANGE: 115-125k base + bonus
