DESCRIPTION: Provides 3rd line support on all network infrastructure-related issues, ensuring maximum uptime and availability, maintaining all critical components of the network core, and being the key resource in designing new network architectures in response to business needs. Configuration and installation of network equipment in support of office moves, etc. Support and onward development of network monitoring and control technologies. Maintain thorough network documentation and records of configurations for disaster recovery purposes. Liaison with service providers and ordering new circuits. Assists in defining and implementing network performance indicators. Catalyst 6500, BGP, OSPF, Multicast
QUALIFICATIONS: Technically relevant college degree. CCNP certification preferred. Minimum three years of WAN experience in a commercial setting, and proven skills in design. Specific technical knowledge of Cisco IOS and routing and switching theory; network monitoring (Openview and Works); structured cabling network fault diagnostics including use of sniffer.
SALARY RANGE: 80-100k
